Why don't you list the prices? We sell very high quality, low time, completely refurbished, PCA condition aircraft. Our customers are in search of the best that they can get, and are intent upon buying. Too often in the past, we have had 'tire kickers' who shop around, calling or emailing every dealer they can find, with no real intent to buy in the future. While it's nice to dream about the things we want, it's not fair to horde the time of those whose goals are to make dreams into reality if we're not prepared to move on it. In our 29 years of business, we've tried several different techniques, and we've found that not listing the prices allows us to narrow down our inquiries from everyone with an interest in aviation to only the select few who fully intend to make a purchase in the next few months. Those individuals who will be purchasing soon do not consider it a waste of time to call when they see the plane they want. This, in turn, allows us to provide those select individuals with the best customer service that we can. We are better able to serve them by providing them our full attention and time, rather than splitting it several ways in our dealings with those who have no real intention to buy. Please feel free to give us a call at 972-346-3515 if there is an aircraft that you are interested in purchasing. All sales inquiries are handled by phone after the initial contact as it better allows us to fully answer all of your questions and address your concerns.
What is a PCA aircraft, and what does it mean for me? According to the Aircraft Blue Book, a PCA aircraft is a "low time, 8-or-9 rated airplane" with little or no damage history, often refurbished (click here for a the Blue Book explanation). These planes are qualified to sell for 10 to 25% above Blue Book value and are the cream of the aviation crop. Owners of PCA aircraft will have lower future maintenance costs and less down time, and will find the plane to be safer. For the pilot, this means a like-new plane of the highest quality. This also means that the pilot's investment is stronger and more secure - PCA aircraft have little to no depreciation in comparison to other aircraft, and, if properly maintained after purchase, will often bring the pilot the same amount he purchased the plane for upon resale.
Will you bring the plane to my city for a preflight inspection? While we welcome preflight inspections, they must be done at our hangar. Whether we fly the plane across town or across the country for the inspection, it still adds unnecessary hours to the plane. Because we only deal in low time aircraft, we take great care not to add unnecessary hours to the plane, allowing its new owner to have the newest, most pristine aircraft possible. Each of our aircraft is given a full inspection and new annual by a certified aircraft inspector when it is purchased. However, if you wish to have the plane inspected, you are welcome to set up an appointment to bring your aircraft inspector or mechanic to our hangar.
Can you hold the plane for me/can I make a down payment? We do not accept down payments to hold planes, nor can we hold a plane while a interested party determines whether or not they choose to buy. When a party has determined that they wish to purchase an aircraft from us, we then ask that they present us with a non-refundable deposit equal to 10% in order to remove the aircraft from the market. The deposit is compensation for removing a marketable plane from the market and is to prevent us from taking loss. Should the buyer choose not to purchase the aircraft or be unable to purchase the aircraft, the deposit is forfeited to Customair Aircraft Sales.
Does the girl come with the plane? Our models are lovely aren't they? While we understand everyone's interest in the girls, they are not included with the plane. Thanks for asking.
